As Lewis Hamilton embarks on his highly anticipated debut season with Ferrari, the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion has opened up about reuniting with Angela Cullen, his longtime trainer and close confidante. After parting ways ahead of the 2023 season, Cullen has now rejoined Hamilton’s inner circle, a move the Brit describes as “really exciting.”
A Familiar Face in a New Era
Cullen first partnered with Hamilton in 2016, becoming a key figure in his Mercedes success. Now, as Hamilton transitions to Ferrari, he emphasized the importance of having trusted individuals around him:
“It’s always important to have a good foundation of people around you. I’ve generally had a very good base for many, many years, so I still have all the team that I had last year but I’ve brought Ange in on top of that.”
After taking time off to travel and be with her family, Cullen accepted Hamilton’s offer to embark on this new journey together.
“We have a great relationship. We’ve gone through a lot together. Asking her to come and start this new chapter with me and her accepting it was really exciting. This past month together has been really awesome.”

“I think red suits me! Honestly, it’s an honour to be a part of this historic team. Red is the colour of passion and love, and you see that passion in Ferrari’s fanbase, the Tifosi.”
