Astronomics is a game where you play as an asteroid miner working under the rule of a space corporation called Cube Corporation. Your goal is to earn 600 million dollars to buy your way onto Earth, a place you’ve never been. The problem is that space-capitalism is brutal, and while the corporation makes huge profits from your work, you only get a tiny share.
Mining involves piloting a space freighter to an asteroid, landing in a shuttle craft, and using a remote-controlled command bot to scan, mine, and transport resources. A mining laser breaks up rocks, while a gravity tether pulls materials into your cargo hold.
Automation plays a key role. Small worker bots can collect tagged resources, but since asteroids have uneven terrain, they often get stuck. Cranes can lift and move them across obstacles, creating an efficient system of resource collection.
Astronomics is a mix of manual work, automation, and problem-solving. The challenge is in optimizing mining operations to make as much money as possible. The game is now available in Early Access on Steam.
