Peugeot Design Lab Unveils Radical 504 Pikes Peak Concept

Peugeot Design Lab has unveiled the 504 Pikes Peak Concept, a bold reimagining of the classic 504 model that blends aggressive motorsport aesthetics with cultural elements. This concept pays homage to the French rap group 113, who famously drove a 504 onto the stage at the 2000 Victoires de la Musique awards.

The 504 Pikes Peak Concept transforms the original’s elegant lines into a more extreme design, featuring exaggerated ultra-wide fender flares and a massive dual-wing aerodynamic setup. The interior is stripped down, showcasing vibrant pink plaid upholstery. The number 113 is prominently displayed on the wheels, roof, and other areas, directly referencing the rap group.

In addition to the Pikes Peak variant, Peugeot revealed two other versions of the 504 concept. One is a drift-focused model with an asymmetrical tire setup, an oversized stacked roof rack, and a distinctive rectangular yoke steering wheel. This version also integrates a vinyl turntable into the cabin, emphasizing the project’s unconventional spirit and cultural influences.

The final version emphasizes bold aesthetics, featuring a grey-brown exterior with bright blue accents, while another sports a flat grey finish complemented by blue rear doors, a red hatch, and yellow highlights. These concepts, though less extreme than the Pikes Peak build, each showcase different facets of the model’s versatility and creative potential.

These 504 concepts not only pay tribute to Peugeot’s heritage but also envision how the brand can blend performance, history, and pop culture into strikingly unconventional projects.
